Voyagrs National Park Rainy Lake Visitor Center
Each year, Voyageurs National Park Association helps achieve priority conservation and maintenance needs at the park through the Volunteer Rendezvous, a two-day civic conservation event. And YOU are invited to join us.
People of all ages and skills are welcome to attend – no experience necessary. National Park Service staff will provide tools, training and help with the work. The Rendezvous provides a great opportunity to get involved at Minnesota’s national park, meet Park Service staff and see the park in a whole new way. Volunteers are welcome to sign up for one or both days.
The Volunteer Rendezvous isn’t all work and no play! Volunteers explore Voyageurs in their free time. Canoes and activities will be made available. VNPA hosts a free celebration dinner for all the volunteers on Saturday evening at Sha Sha Resort.
This year’s potential work projects include:
1) Planting native trees along the park’s new bike trail
2) Maintenance work and garden work at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center Ojibwe ethnobotanical garden
3) Trail clearing at Black Bay Trail
Please register by August 31. More information and the registration form are available online at www.voyageurs.org/volunteer-rendezvous
