RANIER SUMMER FESTIVAL

It's time for the Ranier Summer festival!! Events start on Friday August 9th with Acoustic Smoke folk rock on the lakeside deck at Woody's for a food shelf fundraiser. The street dance with King of the Road (John Streiff) starts at 8 pm on Duluth St. (across from the Muni). Saturday August 10th the day will start out with a pancake breakfast (fundraiser for the Ranier Rec Club) at the community building
7-10:30 am. 10-4 is the Rendezvous Yacht Club community sail, public welcome. At 12 pm the pooch parade lead...s the main parade through town. If you would like to have a float in the parade contact Phil @ 218-286-3096. Music on the boardwalk by the Rainy Lake Orchestra following the parade. 1-4 pm at the Spruce St dock VNP North canoe rides. Beer garden and Tiki bar open @ 11 am in front of the Ranier Muni. 3pm...LAWN MOWER RACES ARE BACK!! If you would like to enter a mower contact Scott Service @ 218-283-3833. Open mic from 4pm-dusk at Woody's pub.
8-1 is the street dance on Duluth St. YES we will have a street dance both nights!! Not to mention, Finstad auto marine shop tours, classic boats on the bay,antique boat models, historic photos,classic cars in the park, Ranier woodworks, kids barrel train rides, book signings, facepainting, original art, balloon toss, community yard sales. And new to the festival this year is Rugrats corner across from the Ranier Park. 3-6 on Friday will be games and crafts and at 6 pm is the treasure hunt! Saturday 9 am are games and crafts then a break for the parade. All day fun for the little ones too!!! Food and drink vendors throughout the town so come hungry!!
